Maureen & David Ferra

by  Clive & Lois Edwards

Maureen and David Ferra David and Maureen with their Westie Lucy have enjoyed caravaning in France mainly in Brittany but also Normandy, Picardy, and the Loire Valley. When they go to Brittany they enjoy the ferry from Poole to Cherbourg as a relaxing start to their holiday, usually they stay in their caravan at the ferry terminal the night before sailing in order to make the journey more leisurely. They are both with Lucy in their second youth, retired and live in Kings Lynn Norfolk. David worked in the Electrical Power industry for 38 years as a Distribution Engineer and Maureen spent many years as a Seamstress making and fitting loose covers and curtains. Lucy is now 13 and has difficulty walking long distances so she is pushed about in her buggy around the French markets which raises a lot of comments, the French thinking we are mad English and the English thinking we are mad French. Davids main hobby is photography and he is also a Governor at a large High School, Maureens interests are many including spinning, stitchwork and knitting. They are looking forward to many more caravan holidays in Brittany especially the markets and brocantes (car boot sales).
